Kayden's Sorting

Kayden looked around the hallways, staying quiet and unnoticeable. He didn't want to be at this school, but he was forced. They thought something was wrong with him, but they just couldn't handle the fact that he was different. Sure, there were seers in the world, but his visions were awful. They gave him so much pain, and he had them more often than a regular seer.

His grandparents didn't know how to deal with him, so they sent him here, a school for people with "special" powers. 'They act like it's a good thing, having special powers. It's a curse, why can't they see that?' He sighed to himself, frowning and knocking on the doors.

Lillian waved the door open with her wand, with an air of nonchalance. "Hey, take a seat," she gestured to the chair opposite her.

"Kayden Fahey, correct?" she said after a quick glance of her list. She saw his facial expression, and said, "I promise it won't be long."

Kayden nodded and sat down in a seat. "Uhh...hi."

"So," she smiled warmly, "Firstly, do you have any powers to speak of?"

Kayden sighed. "I'm a seer."

Lillian nodded, and decided it was best not to go any further with that.

"Secondly, describe yourself. What you're like, how you act, etc etc. Personality traits, basically."

"I guess you could say I like to be quiet. Not that I'm shy or anything, I just tend to like being by myself." He frowned. "I like to blend in, not be noticed. I tend to focus on the bad things, but that's just how I am."

"You sound like Rosewood," Lillian mused, "You know, most of the seers we get at this school get sorted into Rosewood, so I believe that would also help for not wanting to be noticed. There is one student I know who has a truly terrible version of The Sight, that causes almost constant pain. Remember, there will always be someone who has more attention than you," she winked.

"Are you fine with Rosewood?"

Kayden grumbled. "Sure."
