Fire and Water

Milo and Callissa sat on one of the light blue loft couches eating popcorn and watching a muggle movie called Safe haven. The movie had obviously been Callissa's choice, but as long as the were together, Milo didn't really care how sappy the movie they watched was.

"So how is your elemental control class going?" Milo asked, grabbing a handful of buttery popcorn.

" Well I maybe somewhat kind of didn't go today," Callissa told him.

"Lissa!" he sounded surprised. "You never skip class. Why didn't you go?"

Callissa shrugged. "I guess I forgot. I'll never be able to control this anyways."

"Yes you will," Milo said. "If anyone can control fire it's you, Lissa."

Callissa stood up and took some unpopped popcorn kernels. She placed them in a bowl and aimed her hand at them. The kernels burnt and caught on fire.
"See Milo?!" she asked. "The kernels were supposed to pop."

"You just need more practice," Milo smiled, spraying some water on the small popcorn fire.

Callissa sighed. "I've had 6 years of practice, Milo!" She raised her voice. "6 years of hope and nothing has changed. I graduate next year and then I go to college. Every college wants a student with the ability to burn down the school!"

"Lissa please calm down," Milo said. "We all know what you're going through. Everyone here is pretty much going through the same thing. Normal people wish they were us. Do you know that? My little sister, Kiri, is totally normal and she always pretends to be able to control water with me," he laughed.

Callissa picked up the popcorn and turned off the movie. Turning around she said harshly, "Milo I'm going to go study. I uh have a test tomorrow."

Milo laughed at his girlfriend who had never been a good liar. "Alright," he said. "Have fun 'Studying'"
