Callissa Mae Rowen : Counceling Session 1

Alisa thumbed through her appointment book, opening it up to the day's date.

Callissa Mae Rowen: been here for six years. Made little progress in controlling my power


This was a normal issue at this school. A student who hadn't fully become in control of their power over the sevn year period. She walked over to her filing cabinet and took out Ms.Rowen's file.

'A Firestarter?' Alysa thought. 'That can control light too? How odd.'

Alisa walked outside to where Callissa was standing, waiting for her session.
"Come on in Miss.Rowen. Take a seat and tell me why you're here."

"I'm here because I should be able to control my fire," Callissa told the counselor.
"I should be able to get mad without burning up the whole freaking city!"

She walked over to the trashcan and threw a ball of fire into the basket. The whole trashcan became flames and soon the room began to light on fire, with a thick wall of smoke that soon went away.

"Magic shield?" Callissa asked.
The counselor nodded.

"I have useful skills, such as making light, but harmful skills such as unwillingly lighting my surroundings on fire. I don't want to harm those around me any more."

"My dear," Alisa frowned. "I'm so sorry to say this but you have a grand power that can cause much harm to those around you, as well as yourself and you may never be able to control it.

Others like you will be able to control the element and have it do as they wish, but you're special. The element acts upon your strong feelings. If you get angry, it will cause a fire and there is nothing you can do," she explained.

"I understand," Callissa nodded, disappointedly walking out of the room.
