Callissa ran through the forest, tears streaming down her face. Six years at Octela and she was no better than the first day she had arrived.
"Callissa you have to go away for a while."
""W-why? Why do you want to get rid of me?"
"We don't want to get rid of you sweetheart. We just want what's best for you."
"You're afraid of me. Aren't you?"
Total Silence flooded the room.
"AREN'T YOU?!"
A bright ring of orange flames filled their small home with heat and smoke.
"Mommy?"
No response.
"Daddy?"
No response.
She traveled to Olecta the next day as her parents had wished.
She found a tree stump and sat down in tears. 'Why can I not control it?' she thought.
'Everyone else who has been here as long as I have has at least some kind of control.'
"Hey is this stump open to another butt?" She heard a male voice ask.
She looked up and saw Milo putting out a small fire with a splash of water.
"Oh! Sorry Milo!" she sniffled.
"It's fine Lissa!" Milo laughed. "So why are you crying?" he asked.
"I-I'm not," she fought, walking away. "I'm fine."
and then she left the forest.
